A bit about me
I'm a senior at the University of Michigan studying Communication & Media, with a minor in Social Media Analysis and Design. Throughout college, I've been fortunate to take on real leadership roles - not just coursework - that have given me hands-on experience in PR, social media strategy, and integrated marketing campaigns.
A lot of what I've learned has come from figuring out how to align every element of a campaign under one unified vision - from a press release to a social media calendar to an event pitch. I've done that for class projects, for SHEI Magazine, for Alpha Gamma Delta, and for the VIPs Fund, often at the same time.
I'm relocating to Chicago after graduation and looking for a role where I can keep learning, contribute to real campaigns, and work with a team that cares about doing the work well.
What I bring
PR & Communications
I've written press releases and media pitches for class and for SHEI Magazine, and learned how to structure a story so it's compelling to a journalist while staying authentic to the brand. Getting that balance right is something I genuinely enjoy.
Social Media Strategy
As Director of Social Media for Alpha Gamma Delta and through my work at SHEI, I've managed content calendars, coordinated photography and copy, and thought about how to tailor content to different audiences on different platforms.
Marketing & Campaign Strategy
For the Aritzia x Noir PR project, I developed a full media kit: press release, brand story, fact sheet, lookbook, collaboration pitch, event pitch, and social media strategy. Keeping every element aligned under one vision was the most valuable thing I took from that project.
Executive Marketing Leadership
At SHEI Magazine, I started on the PR team and worked my way up to Executive Marketing Director over three years. Along the way I learned how to delegate, give direction, and take responsibility for the bigger picture while still caring about the details.
Sales & Business Development
As Marketing Team Member and Sales Coordinator for the VIPs Fund, I worked on both the marketing and the outreach side. It gave me a practical sense of how marketing and business development work together.
Content Creation & Copywriting
One thing my coursework and extracurriculars have reinforced is that writing for a brand means stepping into their voice, not your own. I've written media pitches, social captions, and lookbook copy - the goal is always the same: sound like the brand, not like an assignment.
What sets me apart
I care about staying true to a brand's identity while also creating something new.
Experience
I've been part of SHEI Magazine since my first year, starting on the PR team and eventually becoming Executive Marketing Director. It's been the through-line of my college experience — I've learned more about brand strategy, communications, and leadership from this role than anywhere else.
- —Directed full marketing strategy including social, PR, and partnerships
- —Developed and maintained external brand voice across all communication channels
- —Coordinated with editorial, design, and business teams on publication launches
- —Mentored junior PR team members and delegated cross-functional projects
As Director of Social Media, I've been responsible for the chapter's entire social presence — planning the content calendar, coordinating photography and graphics, writing the copy, and making sure everything feels cohesive and on-brand.
- —Planned and executed weekly content calendars across Instagram and other platforms
- —Coordinated photography, graphics, and copywriting for all posts and stories
- —Grew chapter visibility and social engagement through consistent, on-brand content
The dual role at VIPs Fund gave me a useful perspective on how marketing and sales work together. I was creating materials on one side and helping coordinate the outreach pipeline on the other.
- —Created marketing collateral supporting fund outreach and recruitment efforts
- —Coordinated the sales pipeline and maintained donor/partner tracking systems
- —Contributed to brand development and communication strategy as the organization grew
My internship at Mind4Youth was my first experience working in a mission-driven environment, and it taught me how to write content that connects authentically with a specific community.
- —Developed social content connecting authentically with youth and parent audiences
- —Assisted in planning and scheduling content across Instagram and other channels
- —Applied data insights to refine posting cadence and content mix
